ORGANIZING AUTHORITY: Snipe Class International Racing Association

HOSTING CLUB: Mission Bay Yacht Club, San Diego, California

RULES: The current Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS) and the prescriptions of U.S. Sailing, the SCIRA Rules of Conduct for Conducting National and International Championship Regattas or Sanctioned Regattas, the Deed of Gift and the Sailing Instructions shall be in effect.

ADVERTISING: This regatta is classified as Category A in accordance with the SCIRA Advertising Prescription.

ENTRY AND ELEGIBILITY: This regatta is open to SCIRA registered boats and skippers in good standing for the current year that are or will be 45 years of age in 2001 and subject to any Deed of Gift trophy restrictions. The combined skipper and crew age must be 80+ on December 31, 2001.

REGISTRATION: Please refer to attached registration form or visit the Master's web site www.snipe.org

SCHEDULE: (refer to Sailing Instructions for Amendments)

Tuesday October 30 Registration 9:00-12:00pm and 3:00-6:00pm
Practice race(s) after 1 pm
Wednesday October 31 Registration 9:00 am to 11:00am
Skipper's Meeting 11:00 am at the flagpole
2 races *No start before 1 pm
Thursday November 1 2 races *No start before 1 pm
Friday November 2 2 races *No start before 1 pm

* With 40 or more boats, races are to be sailed in a Round Robin format. Upon completion of six races there will be one throw out.

MEASUREMENT: All boats are subject to measurement at any time at the reasonable discretion of the Class or Race Committee. All boats are required to have a current Class decal properly displayed.

SAILING INSTRUCTIONS: The regatta Sailing Instructions will be available on the first day of Registration or on the web site when ready.

COURSES: Courses will be described in the Sailing Instructions. All races will be sailed inside Mission Bay.

BLACK FLAG: RRS Rule 30.3 shall not been used in this regatta.

SCORING: The SCIRA Low Point scoring system will be used.

PRIZES: The top three skippers and crews will receive prizes in each category: Apprentice Masters, Masters, and Grand Masters. The top US skipper will receive the US Master's Championship trophy.
